PROGRAM RESOURCES

CIRP was established in 1999. The more than 25 CIRP Core faculty and staff occupy a 4,800 square foot office suite, which is part of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. It is one of the 11 CDC-funded Injury Control Research Centers nationally and the only one focusing on injuries to children and adolescents. CIRP faculty members have academic appointments at The Ohio State University and receive research funding support from many national and state agencies as well as foundations. CIRP researchers publish a new scientific article, on average, every 6 days.

Students will be provided work space, a computer, statistical software and all other necessary tools for their work. They will work independently, but will have statistical, epidemiologic, computer data analysis and other experts available for their support at all times.
