MEDIA CENTER


A primary focus of the Center for Injury Research and Policy (CIRP) is translating cutting edge injury research into education, advocacy and advances in clinical care. This Media Center provides a forum for disseminating information about our research to a wide array of audiences, including our media partners, parents and families, community organizations, health educators, physicians, coaches and athletes, legislators and other policy makers, and injury prevention researchers and specialists around the world.

OHIO BOOSTER SEAT LAW

Several CIRP staff spoke at an Ohio Statehouse press conference in September 2007 as child passenger safety experts in support of a proposed booster seat law in Ohio which would require children between 4 and 8 years of age traveling in a vehicle to ride in a booster seat. The law passed and became effective in October 2009.
