NEW NATIONAL STUDY EXAMINES PEDIATRIC INJURIES ASSOCIATED WITH HOUSEHOLD CLEANERS
Monday, August 02, 2010
A new study conducted by researchers at the Center for Injury Research and Policy examined pediatric household cleaning product-related injuries. Most of the injuries were poisonings, with the majority occurring among very young children. “Young children are curious about their surroundings and explore their environment by putting things in their mouths,” said study author Dr. Lara McKenzie. “This, along with household cleaners being located in every home, put children at high risk of injury.”
