DR. FIELDS RECEIVES TEACHING AWARDThursday, June 10, 2010
On June 9, 2010, Sarah K. Fields, PhD, JD, MA, received an Alumni Award
for Distinguished Teaching from The Ohio State University where she teaches
both undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Physical Activity and
Educational Services in the College of Education and Human Ecology. Recognized by
her students and peers for her engaging teaching style and use of various teaching
methods to facilitate learning, Dr. Fields was one of ten faculty to receive
the Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching this year.
Dr. Fields is an affiliated faculty member of the Center for Injury
Research and Policy (CIRP) of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s
Hospital. Her interdisciplinary research examines how sport reflects and
perpetuates American Society’s values and beliefs.
