OHIO BOOSTER SEAT LAW UPDATE
Wednesday, April 07, 2010
Last year, Ohio expanded its Child Passenger Safety Law to require that children be buckled in a car seat or booster seat until they are at least 8 years old or 4’9” tall. Since October 2009, law enforcement has been issuing warnings; however, full enforcement of the law began on April 7, 2010. According to the Ohio Department of Health, fines will range from a minimum of $25 to a maximum of $75 per occurrence.
